                At Eaton Federal Savings Bank and its affiliate, Discovery Financial Services Corporation, protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information is important to us.  In order to offer you the financial products and services you seek, we collect, maintain and use information about you on a routine basis.  To help you better understand how your personal information is protected, we are providing you with the following statement describing our practices and policies regarding individuals holding accounts, loans and other financial services for personal, family, or household purposes.  This statement does not apply to information regarding commercial accounts.  In the event you terminate your customer relationship with us, or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the policies and practices described in this statement with regard to your personal information. 

 

Information We Collect

            As trusted financial institutions, we collect, retain and use nonpublic personal information about individual customers, as allowed by law, to provide products and services to our customers.  We may collect non-public information from such sources as:

 

  • applications or other forms (such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income);

  • information about your transactions with us, our affiliate, or others (such as your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions, and credit card usage);

  • information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency (such as your creditworthiness and credit history); and

  • information we acquire through your use of our online banking site. 

 

Information We Share With Our Affiliate

            We may disclose identification information (such as name and address) and our transaction and experience information (such as loan payment history) with our affiliate.  Our affiliate engages in the following types of business:  banking, mortgage and credit insurance.

 

Information We Share With Our Non-Affiliates

            We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers, or former customers, to anyone other than our affiliate, except as permitted by law.   However, to provide our customers with products or services that we believe may meet your financial needs, we may exchange limited non-public personal information about you to non-affiliated firms that conduct marketing services on our behalf, or with other financial institutions with whom we have a joint marketing agreement, in order to offer financial products or services.  Such information exchanges may include:

 

  • information we receive from you on applications or other forms (such as your name, address); and

  • information about your transactions with us or our affiliates (such as your account balance, payment history and parties to transactions)

 

How We Protect Your Information

                We understand that the protection of your nonpublic personal information is of the utmost importance.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.  We restrict employee access to customer information to only those who have a business reason to know such information and we educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

 

Online Banking Privacy Policy

            We are dedicated to protecting the privacy of your personal information during your use of the bank's online banking site.  Our online banking site does not require visitors to disclose any personal information after the initial registration for the online banking service. We may, however, collect and store web site traffic statistics.  This information enables us to determine which areas of the site are of the most interest to our users.  These statistics are collected in the aggregate to assist us in identifying when peak usage times are.  The following is a list of the types of information collected:

 

  • the internet address of the web site from which you linked to our site

  • the name and version of your web browser. 

  • the domain name from which you access the internet.               

  • the date and time the request was received

  • the number of bytes sent or received, duration (in seconds) to fulfill the request, server port number addressed, and protocol version server port number addressed, and protocol version

                If you contact us via an e-mail message, your e-mail address and other information such as your name or organization will be revealed to us. It is our policy to use any information received via e-mail only for responding to your comments or questions, contained in the email.  We will not sell your e-mail address. Nor will your e-mail address be shared with anyone outside our organization, unless required by law.

 

                For your general protection, we strongly discourage transmitting personal information such as social security numbers or account numbers via e-mail.  If you have an account with us, we have this information on file and will not request it from you.
